Awareness is a wonderful tool for raising consciousness. Awareness is what allows us to observe ourselves. It is what allows us to notice our own thoughts, our opinions, our patterns and perspectives. When we simply observe ourselves with no judgment, in that moment we come to realize that there is a distinction between the I AM that we are and our thoughts. We realize we are not the thoughts, we are the noticer of the thoughts—we are the Awareness, the Silent Witness. When we live from that space, we naturally enter into tremendous freedom. No longer are we at the mercy of every little thought that flows into our consciousness. We no longer even have to believe every thought that comes to us. Now an easy way to become aware is to simply just be present in the here-and-now-moment, and turn your attention to your breath. Allow your breath be the doorway that shows you the way back to your True Self—free from the bondage of limiting self-talk, free from letting the world of phenomena dictate the quality of your consciousness. Free unbounded awareness is the gateway that will show you the way back to Yourself.
