Get into the habit of setting the vibrational tone for your day. As you begin your day, take some time to feel into your innate sense of wholeness and completion, regardless of what the world of appearances might be telling you is missing in your life. See yourself the way you really are, as a radiant being of love and light containing within you the totality of the All-Good, a field of pure awareness through which creativity, ingenuity, beauty, prosperity and well-being are seeking to express. Feel deeply into this, and then allow these sweet vibrations to carry you throughout your day. Approach your day with joyous expectancy of good, realizing that as you align yourself with the Creative Impulse of the universe—which is always geared towards greater and greater self-expression—you are setting yourself up to truly step into your highest potentiality. You are making yourself available to let your life shine as the glorious and magnificent expression of Love-Beauty that it is.
Will you stand in your spiritual power today? Spiritual power does not mean power over others, which is not really power at all. Spiritual power begins with you recognizing and embracing just what a luminous and powerful being you actually are. When you do, you will never again fall prey to the false belief that there is something outside of you that holds any power over you. The Spirit of Life has poured the entirety of itself into you. It has entrusted you with all of its limitless capacities, its sacred qualities and creative faculties. Now all the forces of Heaven are waiting to see what you will do with what has been given to you. So today, let go of acting as if you didn’t know who you are. Decide to take a stand for the sacred qualities of love, peace, creativity, well-being, beauty, and harmonizing prosperity. As you let the I AM Presence within you shine, it will guide you to exactly where you need to go in order for you to become the embodiment of your highest potential.
A wonderful question we might ask ourselves from time to time is, “What is my intention?” When we ask this question, we invite what may have previously been unconscious to now come into the field of our conscious awareness. Today, as you go about your day, as you tend to your activities, be mindful of your intentions. Is it your unconscious intention to remain guarded, holding onto some old perception that is limiting? Is it your intention to hold back, to not fully express who and what you are out of a false sense of inhibition? Needless to say intentions of this nature are the ones that we want to let go of. Let it be your intention to evoke only the highest and best in each new Now-Moment. Let it be your intention to radiate pure and unconditional love, boundless joy and luminosity wherever you go. Make it your intention to see only what is Real, True, and Eternal. Practice consciously setting your intention, and you will create the conditions for your life to be revealed as nothing less than the Divine Masterpiece that it truly is.
Affirmation: “Today I am conscious of my intentions. My intention is to call forth only the highest and best. My intention is to see clearly. I see with my Inner Eye and I behold the Presence of Love, Beauty and Intelligence wherever I go. My intention is to see only God.”
Suffering is generally caused by a lesser perception that we’ve been holding onto. If we could but catch glimpses of ourselves as we really are, we would easily release any and all suffering first from our individual lives, and ultimately from the planet. Challenges are part of the journey, but suffering is optional. See yourself as you really are. Realize you are a luminous being of light, filled with unlimited potential, made in the spiritual image and likeness of the ineffable presence we call God. Become aware that your work is primarily done within. As you do the inner work of cleansing your perception, your outer reality will rearrange itself accordingly. You find you are compelled into divine right action, you are open to insight and intuitive guidance, and your primary intent becomes to be in greater service of Love, Truth, and Beauty. In this manner you contribute to alleviating and finally eliminating the unnecessary suffering that has been common to the human experience.
A wonderful spiritual practice is to begin to see ourselves the way God sees us. The eyes of God are too pure to behold iniquity, meaning that the Highest and Best can perceive in us only those qualities that correspond with its own sacred and eternal qualities. In simple terms, regardless of what mistakes we think we’ve made, regardless of what shortcomings we thought we had, the truth is that the Divine Presence only sees our beauty, our potentiality, our inherent well-being, our capacity for love and compassion, and that joyous impulse to always become more and never less of our true selves. Anything that does not correspond or align with those perceptions are miss-perceptions that have originated within a mind that had perceived itself as separate from its Divine Source. So our mission—which yes, we choose to accept—is to release these lesser concepts so we may join in the higher realms of awareness with that part of us that knows that all we are, all we have ever been, and all we could ever be, is intimately and intricately at one with that blissful, infinite, and radiant Love-Intelligence that makes all things by becoming all things.
It is delightful to realize that when we speak of spiritual awakening, we are not talking about trying to fix ourselves. Rather than trying to improve apparent flaws, our task is to simply release and let go of that which has been covering up our true nature which is inherently divine. The truth is that, no matter how far off we may appear to be, at the core of our being each and every one of us is already an enlightened being. We are already the spiritual image and likeness of love, beauty, pure intelligence and infinite potentiality. So as we make it our practice to release whatever limiting beliefs, old mental patterns and coping mechanisms may have been covering up our True Being, we will find that within us is a sweet golden essence, a radiant luminosity that has been there all along, calling out ever so gently, seeking to be recognized by us and expressed through us.
The initial awakening experience—when we first find ourselves immersed in a powerful awareness of the Divine Presence—is very much like love at first sight. We experience moments of rapturous bliss and ecstatic appreciation. Everything has taken on a new vibrancy and a deeper meaning. Then as the relationship evolves, communication is key. So we spend time each day communing with our beloved Divine Source. We enter into each moment of prayer and meditation as if it was our very first time. We remain open to new insights and revelations. We cultivate a willingness to grow and become more of ourselves. And we keep ourselves available to discovering new facets about our own place within Existence that we may have never considered before. Now one thing we may be sure of—being in a committed relationship with the Source of All Creation is nothing less than an adventure throughout eternity. We may not always know exactly where we’re going, but we know it will be exceedingly and fundamentally good! And we know that wherever we go in the physical, we may experience that sweet sense of homecoming at any time by simply turning within to the core of our being.
When we let go of trying to extract our happiness from other people, places or situations, our lives take on a magical quality. We have allowed ourselves to remember that we do not need anything to experience happiness for the simple reason that we are happiness itself; and we may get in touch with this boundless essence of joy, beauty, and well-being at any time we choose. We simply withdraw our attention from the outer and focus upon that sweet spot within—that place of pure excellence, pure genius, pure fulfillment, pure whatever we need! When we live our lives from that place, we have discovered the essence of true happiness. True happiness is happiness for the sake of happiness itself. True happiness is an essential quality of our Deepest Authentic Self. Now here’s the paradox; as we make happiness itself our priority, all those things we thought we had to chase after to be happy, suddenly come chasing after us! This is because we have sought first the Kingdom of God within, and now all else is being added unto us.
Whenever faced with a decision, no matter how big or small, a surefire way to know we are moving in the right direction is to simply pay attention to whether or not the decision we are about to make will bring us more joy, more peace, greater happiness, and a greater sense of fulfillment—and perhaps most important of all, whether the decision we are about to make is coming from love. If the answer to all of that is yes, then we may rest assured that we are moving in the direction of greater expansion and self-expression. And as we do so, we are fulfilling our ultimate purpose which is to reflect and reveal the fundamental order and harmony of the cosmos, which is always expanding and revealing more of its infinite nature. So no matter what decisions we face, let us be sure that the choices we make are in integrity with our Soul’s ongoing evolution. As this becomes our criteria, the result of our choices will always yield the greatest benefit for all concerned.
There is a sweet spot deep within all of us to which we may turn on a regular basis. This sweet spot is found as we turn within and give ourselves permission to listen to that deep silence within our very being. No matter how busy our lives may get on the surface level, beneath the surface that silence is always there. Though inaudible to the physical ear, it is always singing that sweet song filled with rich beauty and infinite divine wisdom. We can hear this song of silence as we make it a practice to listen with the Inner Ear. When we do this we may feel as though we’ve returned home into the sweet embrace of the All-Good. Yet in actuality what has occurred is that we have never left home—and we’re simply allowing ourselves to remember this beautiful truth.
