Welcome to the latest installment of “High Evocations—Calling Forth Your Highest & Best!”

The mission and vision of Awakened Life Now is to help individuals break through the apparent barriers of separation and limitation, so that we may all develop a greater awareness of our true nature which is inherently divine. As we transform our individual lives, we are setting ourselves up to be catalysts in the global transformation that is seeking to happen on this planet at this time in human history. In other words, we are making ourselves available to become contributors in creating a world that works for everyone.

The theme for the month of May explores some of the paradoxical nature of Ultimate Reality in that we are already whole, perfect, and complete beings—regardless of what appears to be happening on the surface level of our lives—while at the same time we are always unfolding, always growing, always evolving to reveal more of our inherent completeness. Thus the theme is titled, “Always Complete & Ever Unfolding.” I hope you will check out the first installment in this series, which is posted bellow.

Daily Guide For Inspiration: Trusting The Process Of Life

JanuaryThemeSometimes the most empowering thing we can do is to stop every once and a while, let go of trying to figure out all the details, and simply surrender into the complete and full awareness that our life is now unfolding in alignment with the evolutionary impulse of the Universe, always geared towards evolving into a greater expression of its own Highest and Best. Trust is one of the most powerful spiritual tools we can apply. When we trust the process of Life, when we’ve decided that we live in a friendly Universe and that Life is indeed on our side, it becomes easier to let go of attaching to specific outcomes, to certain ways of how we think something “should” turn out. Instead, somewhere beyond the surface mind’s inclination to look for evidence in the external, we simply know that all is always well, and that nothing could ever truly be against us other than our own perception. This allows us to then embrace each new moment with that sweet realization that it offers us nothing less than an opportunity to express and reveal more of our True Self.

Daily Guide For Inspiration: Giving Up The Lesser For The Greater

JanuaryThemeTrue growth happens once we have given ourselves permission to die to the lesser and be born to the greater. So when facing any challenge, rather than thinking that something has gone wrong, realize that everything has gone right. The challenge is there because it is a stepping stone. Its purpose is to help you let go of whatever you may need to release so that you may step into a greater activation of your potential. What this entails is a continuous giving up of what is unreal, and a constant embracing of what is Real. As the old paradigms fall away you may temporarily feel like your very life is falling apart—that’s what it means to be dying to the lesser. Yet soon you come to realize that nothing has fallen apart at all, but much rather has everything been coming together. Then suddenly you awaken one day to find that you are no longer who you once were. The old self has died. And you discover that to be “born again” really means to return to your True Self—the Real You. It is a rebirth, a rediscovering, and a sweet remembrance of who and what you really are as a luminous being of light, here to shine forth the radiance of your own magnificent being.

Daily Guide For Inspiration: Surrender Does Not Denote The Absence Of Intention

JanuaryThemeWhen we realize that we live, move, and have our being as part of one unified Whole—a perfect spiritual system that is self-sustaining, self-nourishing, and life-giving—we begin to find it easier to cultivate trust in that which is seeking to unfold in our lives. We may rest assured that as we surrender to its flow, All-That-Is will guide us into the greatest fulfillment of our desires. Surrender, however, does not denote the absence of intention. We must hold the intention to grow and become more fully ourselves without getting too caught up in all of the specifics. In other words, as we surrender to the flow of the Infinite we may hold the intention to release the sacred qualities of love, joy, creativity, and harmonizing prosperity. We then actively move in the direction of our intention, withholding nothing, ready to always freely give of ourselves. And then we allow the Infinite to carry us in the palm of its hand, letting the right individuals to show up at the right time, allowing the right doors to open and the perfect opportunities for expansion to appear. So we are holding the intention, and then we surrender to its highest and best unfolding.

JanuaryThemeThe magnitude of the Infinite is beyond what the surface mind could ever comprehend. The vast size of the physical universe alone is incomprehensible. Yet in even the farthest corners of the cosmos God is as fully present as right here on earth. And there is no separation involved. The Infinite cannot be divided. So when you realize that right where you are all of God is, contemplate for a moment the unfathomable nature of a Presence that is everywhere in its fullness at all times! Then realize that rather than struggling to make anything happen, your task is to be in a state of sweet surrender. Surrender to how the Infinite is seeking to unfold in you, through you, and as you. Let go of the ego’s false sense of control, and instead let your experience shift to reveal more of the magnificence of the All-Good, which is ever pouring forth with the singular purpose to unfold and reveal more of its limitless and joyous nature. In our own lives this begins with that sweet, sweet surrender. So today, surrender fully and watch what happens.

Daily Guide For Inspiration: The Sweet Flow Of Love

JanuaryThemeAs we contemplate the nature of love we may find that a great deal of it comes down to trust. When we allow ourselves to surrender to the sweet flow of love, we can sense that all is well, that all is working together for our good, and that there is nothing whatsoever to be concerned about. So let us approach the Source of all Love in this same manner—with a complete knowingness that right at this very moment all the forces of the cosmos are conspiring on our behalf. Let us begin to expect miracles, and let us remember that it always starts with intention. We must have the intention to completely surrender to the outpouring of divine love that is seeking to be expressed in us, through us, and as us. When we live our lives from this place of willingness, we inevitably come to find that the floodgates have been opened, and love is uncovered and revealed in even the most unlikely places.

Daily Guide For Inspiration: Better-Than-We-Can-Imagine Scenarios

JanuaryThemeThere are always vast numbers of possibilities before us. Some of these may be more desirable than others. Yet isn’t it simply wonderful to be aware that it is nothing other than our own focus that will determine which of these possibilities we call forth into our experience?

So with this awareness, let us spend time daily training ourselves to focus upon the highest and the best—the Divine Reality. Let us have the intention to move away from contemplating worst case scenarios, and instead let us contemplate not only best case scenarios, but better-than-we-can-imagine scenarios. As we do this we may not always know what the highest and best is, and that is a good thing. It teaches us to let go of trying to control the details, and instead encourages us to simply surrender to that sweet unfolding of good that’s trying to happen. And when we’re in that state of surrender, we are no longer “tying the hands” of the Universal Presence. By definition we have made ourselves available to all of those wonderful blessings that have been waiting for nothing other than our own permission to come into our lives.

Daily Guide For Inspiration: All Is For Us

Much of our path through this world of time and space consists of us having to unlearn some of what we may have picked up through our society or through our surroundings. As we learn to undo this “worldly training” we come to find that it is in the nature of things to always unfold with spontaneous ease and grace. And rather than us struggling to accomplish some desired outcome, we instead learn to simply surrender to that which is seeking to happen through us. We come to understand that what is seeking to occur, if not resisted, is always the highest and the best. This is because the highest, the best, and the most harmonious are always the Divine Reality. So rather than struggling against some imaginary force of opposition, we allow ourselves to become aware that the One Power that creates infinite worlds is arranging things on our behalf. And with God being for us, there could literally never be anything against us.

Meditative Thought: Surrendering To That Great Unfolding

There comes a great relief once we arrive at the realization that we are not here to make anything happen. Much rather are we here to allow that which is seeking to happen through us to take place. There are qualities that are always seeking to be expressed. Qualities such as love, joy, beauty, well-being, creativity, joyous expansion, and harmonizing prosperity, just to name a few. These are some of the qualities that can be found all throughout nature. And so these qualities are seeking to be revealed in our lives as well.

Knowing this frees us up from feeling like we have to control other people, places, or situations; and instead we find we are able to simply trust that, as we make ourselves available, everything will unfold for the highest good of all concerned. Rather than moving through life always struggling to make something happen, we have instead relaxed into the sweet ease and grace that can come only from surrendering to that great unfolding that is always ongoing. What we have become is conscious participants in the eternal dance of creation.
