There is something timeless and formless that exists within all of us.

This deeper Realm is beyond the five senses. It is birthless, deathless, and eternal. And It is in a process of forever unfolding and revealing Itself throughout the Cosmos.

If we are to seek true fulfillment, we must learn to regularly withdraw our attention from the world of the senses, the world of effects, and instead turn within.

As we turn within, we access this sweet and delicious Presence that is forever shining forth within us. It is from this Presence that we may draw whatever is required at any given moment.

We are indeed fueled and funded by the all-giving Spirit of Life. This Divine Spirit has remade Itself in Its own image and likeness, and It has named Itself each and every one of us.

As our awareness is flooded with this realization, all the stuff that we thought mattered, all the drama of the world of effects, begins to lose its appeal.

We have become but a field of radiant peace.

Our hearts have become an open doorway that lets Love flow to and fro.

We have truly become the Light of the World.

So with this joyous promise awaiting nothing other than our conscious realization of it, let us regularly turn within so that we may access that part of us that was never born and which will never die.

Let us walk in an awareness of our True Nature, and let us freely shine our light upon everything and everyone that enters our field of awareness.

Everything flows from the unmanifested into the manifested. Everything we see first began in consciousness. This is also true for abundance.

True abundance means there is more than enough for everyone. We are able to freely share and joyously give from the overflow.

And though abundance often expresses in all manner of material forms, it is actually a Divine Quality that begins in consciousness. Abundance is a vibration, a feeling tonality which, when actualized, manifests all throughout nature.

We may see this when we look at the countless grains of sand spread across beaches all over the world.

We may see it when we contemplate the limitless blades of grass or the vast number of leafs growing from trees.

And we may see it as we consider the billions of galaxies, each containing billions of stars, spread across a universe that is expanding at an incredible pace.

There is no concept of lack or limitation in God’s World.

Yet for us to be in alignment with this truth, we must learn to train ourselves to notice abundance rather than lack, to look for what’s already there rather than dwell upon what we think is missing.

A good way to start is to find some area in our lives where we are already experiencing some sense of having, no matter how insignificant or little our surface mind may have labeled it.

Gratitude is the key. As we give thanks for what we already have, we are opening a space through which more good can flow into our lives.

So let us become joyful appreciators. Let us be aware that Divine Mind knows no shortage. And let us be receptive towards all the good that is seeking to flow into our lives, if we will but let it.

We see the world as we are.

What we see in others is in ourselves.

And so as we learn to be more loving and compassionate towards ourselves, we find we are able to be more loving and compassionate towards our fellow travelers on this great adventure called Life.

So love yourself.

Appreciate yourself.

You are one in a kind.

Realize that God could never make a mistake. And as such, when God remade Itself in Its own spiritual image and likeness and named Itself you, It could have only done so according to Its own divine pattern of perfection.

So we may reason that there could not possibly be anything wrong with you.

You truly are a unique way in which Love Intelligence is being expressed and experienced right here on this planet at this time in human history.

And you are here so you may use your unique set of gifts, skills, talents, and sensibilities to contribute to this planet in a beneficial way.

Allow yourself to feel into that.

Allow yourself to see that there’s something magnificent in you.

As you tune into this awareness, you will be able to see this same magnificence in everyone else.

That is because, in truth, there is no one else.

There is only God. There is only Love. There is only Beauty. And all of it is seeking to be expressed and revealed through you!

Now is Life grand, or what?

Relationships are the great mirror of self.

Our relationships demonstrate to us which areas of our life are working well, and which areas require further attention.

Our intention should be to bless all of our relationships. Not merely the ones that are working well, but especially the ones that we experience as a challenge. The challenge is an indicator that there’s something to be learned, there is a seed of growth awaiting to blossom into the experience of more love and compassion.

The truth is the issue lies never within the other individual, but merely within our own perception. This is because the ego tends to project what it has disowned onto others.

Yet as we begin to evolve and mature, as we begin to grow more conscious, we start to see right through the ego’s faulty perception.

So rather than speaking badly about other individuals, rather than engaging in blaming and faultfinding, our approach becomes one of self-inquiry.

We may turn within and ask, “What aspect that I have denied within myself am I projecting onto this other being? What story am I telling myself that is keeping me from demonstrating my true nature of love, kindness, and compassion? What quality of consciousness must I cultivate to be at peace in this situation?”

Then listen.

Be receptive.

The answer may surprise you.

Yet the answer is a pointer.

The answer is an invitation.

It is inviting you to become more of your True Self. It is inviting you into moving to the next stage of embodying your highest potential.

Will you accept this invitation?

Bless all of your relationships. For they are the great mirror of self.

A sign that we are maturing on the spiritual path is that we begin to realize that our every thought, belief, and expectation is constantly being reflected back to us in the form of seemingly outward experience.

This allows us to let go of blaming and excuse making, and instead assume a level of responsibility for the choices we make.

Now, it is important to be aware that these thoughts, beliefs, and expectations can either be conscious or unconscious.

For many people they are unconscious.

This is why at first it may seem that not all of our seemingly outward experience is directly related to what we think, believe, and expect. That, however, is part of the illusion.

So our task then becomes to raise our level of consciousness. One of the most effective ways to do so is through the cultivation of a regular spiritual practice.

As we set aside time each day to mediate, to affirmatively pray, to contemplate and tune into the highest vision for our lives, our level of awareness begins to go up.

As our awareness goes up, we start to see all those seemingly random thought patterns that had previously been hidden from our sight.

With awareness comes choice. And so we may choose to release those thought patterns that no longer serve us.

This allows us to escape our old routine of acting out a set of unconscious reactive patterns, to instead being conscious co-creators of our experience.

That is the essence of true freedom!

We live in a world where most of us believe that how Life works – how it actually functions at its deepest level – is ultimately unknowable.

Or if it’s not unknowable, surely it must be very complicated. And so we reason that the understanding of how Life works must be reserved for only the very few and far in between. As a result, what happens is that a lot of us don’t even bother with trying to understand it simply because we think that the very attempt is futile.

My friend, thankfully none of the above assumptions are true!

Life is not complicated.

Life is actually quite simple.

Once you can get this, your life instantly becomes a demonstration of joy.

Now, we may have been taught to believe that it’s complicated, which is exactly why so many of us are struggling. But what I’m here to remind you is that struggling is so unnecessary. We could even say it’s outdated.

And let’s be clear. This has nothing to do with beliefs. I am not here to try and get you to believe in anything. And I certainly can’t speak to what your experience of life is or is not at this very moment. Yet what we’re talking about here transcends beliefs. It goes beyond the realm of mental concepts and labels, which is from where most of us usually live our lives – trapped inside of a narrow maze of ideas, concepts, and mental patterns that we believe are the truth. And so if someone else comes along with another set of ideas and mental patterns, we tend to consider their patterns wrong and ours right. And how dare they not see that?

In extreme cases, we may even try to physically harm someone if we don’t agree with them. And in the cases of nations, gosh, we might just even go to war! After all, this other worldview doesn’t match our own, and naturally ours must be the correct one! If you think that’s an exaggeration, take a look at history and you will see that this has happened over and over again.

So all this to say, you won’t find the answer to how Life works (which is inevitably connected to your level of joy) within the confines of beliefs. Let me say that again, because this is a big one:

You won’t find the answer to how Life works within the confines of beliefs.

So what you must learn to do instead is go beyond beliefs and look to experience.

You see, here’s the thing about beliefs. A belief is really just a thought that’s running on auto pilot. In other words, you’ve thought this particular thought so many times that it’s become automatic. You don’t even realize anymore that it’s just a thought.

Ah. But now I can hear you say, “Well, it’s not just a thought, it’s the truth! I can see that it’s the truth! There’s evidence of it all over the place! The reason I believe what I believe is because I’ve experienced that it’s the truth!”

Okay. Fair enough. At first glance that even seems to make sense, right?

Or is it possible that maybe, just maybe, we’re approaching something from a backwards perspective here?

You see, now we’re getting into this whole understanding of how Life and Reality works business. And basically what it comes down to is this:

Your seemingly outer reality always and with no exception will reflect your internal state of being back to you. The Universe is like your Spiritual Mirror, always showing you what your thoughts, beliefs and expectations are in any given moment.

This is how you’ve been creating your experience in every single moment of your life. We’ve all heard that we create our reality. Well, this is how we do it.

So if you think people can’t be trusted and are out to get you, then that will be your experience. If, on the other hand, you think you live in a friendly Universe, where most people are friendly and things usually work out, then that will be your experience. And if you think that life is hard and a struggle or that there’s never enough money (big one), then you will constantly find yourself in situations in which you’ll be struggling and you won’t have enough money. But if you tend to think of yourself as someone who’s successful and generally excels at what you set out to do, then you’ll find yourself living experiences in which exactly that will be the case.

My friend, it’s that simple. It is one of the fundamental basics of how Life works, it’s what Spiritual Masters across the ages have been trying to get us to understand time and time again, it’s even what modern science (quantum physics) is now starting to prove – and it contradicts everything that mainstream thinking would have us believe.

And mainstream thinking – based on what I’ve observed anyway – looks something like this: we live in a world where we are separate from everything around us. We are separate from other people, we are separate from nature, and certainly we’re separate from God. We’re so separate from God, in fact, that some of us even question whether or not there is a God. We’ve reduced the Divine, the Source of All That Is, the Ineffable Infinite Intelligence that permeates everything in existence, to yet another mental concept that one can either believe in or not.

Man, I don’t know about you, but I gotta say, just thinking about that kinda feels exhausting. Let alone going through your entire life with that mentality! No wonder so many people are always on the defense and approaching life with some level of fear, either consciously or unconsciously. If you live your life thinking that you’re separate from everything around you, that you have no power whatsoever (or if you do, it’s extremely limited in the grander scheme of things), and that you’re at the mercy of some mysterious forces beyond your control — well, yeah, at some point that’s just gonna have to freak you out!

But I’m here to remind you today that… there is another way to live your life!

But remember, this isn’t about me trying to get you to believe anything. This goes beyond beliefs.

So what I’d suggest to you is to just take in what you’ve read here. Take it in and, if you like, examine your own life. Take a look at what your beliefs actually are. Are you generally at peace? Is your life one filled with joy and happiness? Do you experience all the love you want to experience? Do you feel fulfilled in your work, in your relationships? In your health? How about your finances?

Just notice it.

And then, if there’s an area of your life where you’d like to see an improvement, ask yourself… what do I believe about this area of my life? What do I believe about money? What do I believe about my career? What do I believe about health? What do I believe about my relationships?

And then you might ask… what if there’s another way of looking at this? What if there’s another way? Maybe I had closed myself off to this other perspective? But what if… WHAT IF… what if there’s another way of looking at this?

Just make yourself available to the possibility!

It might feel like a challenge at first, but as you begin to make this your practice, you’ll start to notice that your Consciousness begins to expand. You see, the second you put a question before the Universe you will receive an answer. But you must look for the answer. You must be open to it.

The truth is, you are the Creator of your own destiny.

You’re creating your life with every thought, action, and desire; with every feeling and every intentionality that you have.

You think it’s a coincidence that you’re reading this right now?

Do you think you just happened to stumble upon this blog?

What is it that even drew you to reading this in the first place?

Perhaps the reason you’re reading this is because something within you has placed this text before you, something within you is looking to experience more joy, something within you is trying to get you to remember what, at the deepest level of your Being, you’ve always known.

But as always, you get to choose whether or not that’s true for you. That’s the whole idea of free will, freedom of choice.

You get to choose what this life of yours is going to be about. Now, doesn’t that just make you smile? The utter perfection of it? The utter perfection of Life Itself.

So what are you choosing today? What you choose will greatly impact what your experience is going to be.

So why not choose… in favor of joy?

Much Love and Blessings to you!

And until next time.

One of the most powerful and most important constants at work in the Universe is the Law of Circulation, or as it’s also known, the Law of Attraction. It’s one of the most important constants because it affects our lives in each and every moment. In fact, it’s the process through which we create our lives in each and every moment, whether we’re doing so consciously or not.

For a definition of universal laws please refer to my previous post on the subject of beyond belief, Getting Down To The Heart Of Matters. But just to briefly recap, when we’re talking about universal laws, we are referring to constants that exist regardless of whether or not we believe in them. I had used the law of gravity to illustrate this. Gravity exists. We all know it does, and so belief in it is not necessary.

Just as there are universal laws in our physical time/space reality, there are universal spiritual laws. And the Law of Attraction is without a doubt the one that is at the heart of all our experiences.

The Law of Attraction has become widely known after the success of the 2006 movie, The Secret. You may have seen it. If you haven’t, you most likely have heard about it. But while The Secret was merely the mainstream population’s introduction to the idea that we create our own reality, in truth the Law of Attraction is an ancient principle that dates as far back as recorded history.

This principle says that what goes around, comes around. Our thoughts, beliefs, and expectations literally become the things and events of our life.

And this, my friends, could not be more true.

We’ve all heard it in one form or another. I have yet to meet someone who claims the opposite, that our thoughts do not impact our life whatsoever. But what I think many of us may not realize is just how powerful this principle is. Because the truth is, our thoughts do not only impact our experience of life.

Our thoughts, beliefs, and expectations are what are CREATING our experience of life!

But remember, this isn’t about merely taking on a new belief. This is about developing a knowing. Because if you want to take charge of your life, you must let go of any and all doubt. So I invite you to examine this a little closer. Oftentimes it’s easier to notice these things in others. Look at the people in your life. Aren’t their lives basically a representation of what they think, believe, and expect? You may have noticed that the people who are dissatisfied, worried, and upset, will always have something to be dissatisfied, worried, and upset about. Conversely, the people who are happy and joyous will always have something to be happy and joyous about.

But there’s something here that most of us have backwards.

We use the physical manifestations in our lives to support whatever our beliefs, thoughts, and expectations are. We look at outside reality and whatever shape it takes as the verification of our beliefs.

Yet any physical manifestation, no matter what it may be, is merely a REFLECTION of our beliefs, thoughts, and expectations.

Not realizing this always leads to dysfunction because, inevitably, we will try to change the physical circumstances without changing our internal state of being first. This creates the illusion that there’s an outside force or power that we have to overcome in order to be successful, happy, healthy, and fulfilled.

But there’s another approach to life. One that is more effective, less strenuous, and it always yields better results. And that is to look at every event, every circumstance or interaction, in fact everything that surrounds you, as merely a reflection of your internal state of being. It’s just like the reflection in the mirror.

  • The Physical Universe as your Spiritual Mirror

Imagine for a moment that you went to your bathroom mirror one morning and, for one reason or another, you didn’t like the reflection it was showing you. Maybe you felt you were looking messy or for some reason you didn’t like the way your hair looked that particular day. Now, what if your response to that unwanted image in the mirror was to simply smash the mirror, and then go about your day?

That would be pretty crazy, right?

But metaphysically speaking, people are walking around, smashing mirrors all the time, yet failing to do something about what’s causing the unwanted reflection. And the cause is always our internal state of being; it’s our thoughts, feelings, beliefs, and expectations that are being reflected back to us.

Spiritually speaking, the physical universe is just like a mirror, always reflecting back to us what’s going on inside of us. As we begin to awaken to deeper levels of awareness, we start to realize that we are always at cause. As a result, we realize that complaining, faultfinding, or taking on a victim mentality, is always useless and simply a waste of time and energies. And moreover, it perpetuates the experience, always bringing us more of the unwanted.

So our task must be to instead change what’s going on inside. Rather than smashing the mirror, we can use the mirror. After all, the mirror is our friend. Imagine if you had to comb your hair, shave, or put on makeup with no mirror. You would have no way of knowing how effective your actions were, because you would have no way of knowing how you looked.

Well, in the same way that we use our bathroom mirror, we can use our spiritual mirror. We can use it as a feedback system that lets us know what our dominant internal state is.

And, as always, there is no judgement involved. The mirror doesn’t say, “Look at you, you just can’t get it right. Why are you even trying?” The mirror simply presents us with an accurate and non-judgmental reflection of ourselves.

Bellow are some easy steps that you can take on a day to day basis to start using your spiritual mirror in a way that will be beneficial to you and to what you’re seeking to create in your life.

1. Focus your attention on what you want

Most people have been conditioned to keep their attention on what they don’t want, be it through expressing their disapproval, complaining, or simply discussing it with pretty much everyone they know. A better way of using our spiritual mirror is to simply acknowledge whatever unwanted condition there is, accept it, and from this place of peaceful acceptance we then choose to place our attention on how we’d rather like things to turn out now. What we’re doing is creating a shift in energy that will begin to bring us into alignment with the change that we’d like to experience.

2. Visualize

One of the most powerful tools to help us create any change is the tool of visualization. Whenever you visualize or imagine something, your subconscious mind does not know the difference between what’s real and what’s imagined. Over time this will have a profound impact on your internal state of being. And remember, once your internal state of being shifts, the reflections surrounding you must shift as well. It’s universal law.

3. Become more aware of how you feel

Our emotions are always an indicator of what’s going on inside of us. They always let us know whether we’re focused on something wanted, or if our attention is on something unwanted. By simply stopping a few times throughout the day and noticing how we feel, we begin to raise our level of awareness. This puts us back in a place of being able to choose. Because by simply noticing that our attention has moved towards something unwanted, we can then change that by turning our attention towards something that is more pleasing.

4. Write down things you’re thankful for

This is one of the most powerful things we can do. By spending some time every day to write down things we’re thankful for, we’re training ourselves to focus more in the direction of what’s wanted. Whenever we feel true gratitude and appreciation, we’re literally sending out a signal to the Universe, asking for more things to be thankful for.

5. Think thoughts that are beneficial

We are not at the mercy of our thoughts. We can always choose to think a new thought, we can always choose to think thoughts that reflect the Divine Qualities of Love, Joy, Appreciation, and Well-being, rather than thoughts that reflect limitation. We can always choose to think thoughts of possibility, rather than thoughts of despair. Make it a habit to think more intentionally throughout the day. Rather than considering worst case scenarios, consider best case scenarios. Think about all the ways that things could turn out in your favor. Think about all the reasons for why you’re bound to succeed in whatever it is you’re pursuing. Begin to ponder your own limitless Divine nature, and train yourself to become more consciously aware that the Universe is reflecting your thoughts back to you.

As always, I hope you find this helpful. There are many more ways to create internal shifts, but these are certainly some of the more basic approaches.

I would love to hear from you with any comments or feedback you may have. Are you new to this kind of thinking? Or do you already have some experience with the Law of Attraction? Do you visualize and/or keep a gratitude journal?

Here’s to living our lives at our fullest potential!

Until next time.

Much Love and Blessings to you!
